Next week we will be working on the following topics:
ELA: We will continue Journeys working on Lesson 20. In lesson 20 we will review comparing and contrasting and clarifying. We will introduce commas in a series and the prefix over-. Our spelling focus will be on words with or and ore. We are continuing to read Roald Dahl's Matilda...the kids are LOVING it.
Math: Next week we will take a brief break from Saxon to focus on "Gallon Man". During this short unit, students will learn about capacity and volume. Students will learn a song, dance, and create a robot to help them remember how many quarts, pints, and cups are in a gallon.
Science: We will continue our unit on weather. We will focus on recording wind with anemometers and recording rain with rain gauges.
