Weekly Update - September 28th

I can't believe next week is the start of October already! The time is flying by in second grade!

Next week we will be working on the following topics:
ELAWe will learn about visualizing and story structure, along with singular and plural nouns. We will work on spelling consonant blends with r, l, and s. For writing we will introduce what good writers do, focusing on satisfying endings. We will continue our current Roald Dahl book, George's Marvelous Medicine, that ties right into our science unit on matter.

Math: We will continue spiraling through our Saxon math, focusing specifically on adding 2's, creating patterns, identifying weekdays and weekend days, pictographs, and identifying polygons.

Science: We will continue in our matter unit, focusing on liquids, dissolving, changing states of matter, and solutions/mixtures.

International: Your child's homework this week, along with Study Island, is to research and come up with a traditional German outfit to wear to our Oktoberfest celebration on Thursday, October 11th.

Friend of the Week: Our F.O.W. this week is Caden Austin
